CLUB HISTORY
Otahuhu United was formed in 1975 by parents and junior
players from the Courier Rangers Club.
The parents unsatisfied with the way the juniors were being
treated approached the Mt Wellington Council for the use of
Bert Henham Park,
at the Mt
Richmond Domain.
The club went through the process of gaining approval from
the local Association and New Zealand Football Association;
this was given with the understanding that they did not
field senior teams for the first three years.
In the first years the club fielded 27 junior teams and new
strips were purchased in the colours of the Norwich Soccer Club.
Permission from the English club was granted.
Fundraising for a Club building was started and four years
later an old building was purchased and transported to
Bert
Henham
Park.
Twenty five Years later the Club has moved to Seaside Park Reserve,
the home of the Courier Rangers.
We currently have a number of junior teams and and a
number of senior teams representing the club in
both ladies and men's divisions.
